Daniel Bang: Co-Sports Editor

Daniel Bang is a sophomore at Alexander Hamilton High School from Los Angeles. He developed his loved for reading and writing early on as a child and continues to read modern and past literature. He plays the guitar, piano, drums, and occasionally the bass. He also swims, plays basketball and football for his school. He aspires to pursue a career in sports media or business as a journalist or player agent.
Emily Beltran: Co-Opinion Editor

Emily grew up in Riverside, Illi., a small suburb of Chicago. Emily will be a senior in the fall at St. Ignatius College Prep. She lives with her parents, younger brother, Nick, and Pug, Winston. Emily is competitive swimmer and runner and participates in many service activities. Emily loves to read, write, hang out with friends, go to concerts, and eat cupcakes. She plans on majoring in journalism or biology and traveling the world some day.
Henry Brooks: Co-News Editor

Henry considers himself a very well-rounded person because of all the activities he does. At school, he participates on the school water polo and swim teams, as well as on the parliamentary debate team and in the school vocal ensemble. He also swims competitively with Rose Bowl Aquatics and sings with the L.A. Children’s Chorus Young Men’s Ensemble. His experience with journalism began last year when he began writing political opinion for the school paper, The Paw Print.
Kelly Butler: Advertising Manager

Kelly is a 17-year-old from Okemos, MI who enjoys only the red and purple Skittles, but all colors of M&Ms. She frequently gets stuck in the cat section of YouTube and is very skilled at dancing to dubstep in her room. She watches baseball and cartoons exclusively, especially "Teen Titans" and "Avatar: The Last Airbender." Her hobbies include philosophically pondering her own existance and attempting to catch the little fuzzies that float through the air from time to time. Sometimes she pretends to be a velociraptor, but that's not important right now.
Jae Choi: Co-Photo Editor

Jae Choi is a sophomore at Beckman High School in Irvine, Calif. He enjoys writing, listening to and playing music, and watching comedic TV shows. The South Korean native first developed a passion for journalism after joining his school's journalism class and surprisingly liking it. He is currently the Sports co-editor. For his future profession, he aspires to be either a lawyer or a Power Ranger. In his freetime, Jae hangs out with friends, plays his clarinet and tenor saxophone, and watching the Food network on television, wistfully wishing he could devour all the delicious food shown.
Nancy Coleman: Assignments Manager
Nancy Coleman is a rising Fifth Year at
the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In her free time, between socializing with unicorns, she manages
to keep up her school work while serving her 50-year prison sentence. Aside from this busy schedule, Nancy also enjoys interpretive
dance and seducing people with her awkwardness. Even though her hit
movie (in which she plays Channing Tatum’s love interest) debuts next
month, Nancy still finds time to write for The Governor’s Corner as their Prison/Unicorn/Dance Correspondent.
Lizzie Eason: Co-Lifestyle Editor

Lizzie Eason was born in Torrance, Calif, but currently resides in Lamoni, IA. She is the oldest of four children. She has been in almost 20 theatrical productions including a starring role in “Mulan Jr.” Lizzie is involved in cheerleading, volleyball, dance team, golf, drama club, and several community service organizations including being Vice President of the Mayor’s Youth Council. As a child, Lizzie aspired to be an actress, but she has recently decided to strive for a career in broadcast journalism, bringing her to a journalism course at EPGY.
Griffin Ferre: Co-Sports Editor
Griffin is a senior at Poly High School in Riverside, Cali. There he runs for his school’s cross country and track teams, and participates on the mock trial team. He also writes for the sports section of his school newspaper. In his free time, he enjoys camping/hiking, watching sports, reading, and eating tacos. His favorite subjects are English and History and his favorite movie is Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Jane, 15, is an Asian-American, born and raised in Singapore. She attends the Singapore American School, where she enjoys most classes, including Spanish and Molecular Biology. After school, she attends dance and Taekwondo practices along with lessons in Mandarin and singing. She also loves reading and hanging out with her friends.
Paulina Graham: Co-Opinion Editor

Paulina, 16, was born in Managua, Nicaragua. She has 4 siblings, and is close to her parents. She attends St. Augustine Preparatory School, where she has won academic awards and co-founded a chapter of Pencils of Promise with one of her friends. Paulina has danced ballet for nine years, and in May 2011 was Odette in her ballet academy’s production of the Swan Lake. She also enjoys reading and listening to music. Paulina is the fearless leader of the EPGY MOB, and takes care of all MOB-related activities.
Oliver Hsu: Co-Lifestyle Editor

Oliver Hsu is from Princeton, New Jersey, but resides in Hong Kong. He is a sophomore at Chinese International School, playing tennis competitively, both with the Hong Kong Tennis Association and for his school. He participates in jazz band and orchestra, also playing in a pop band. Oliver writes for his school magazine, and is a member of the student council and multiple student-led service groups. He DJs, produces electronic music, and plays many musical instruments. His other hobbies include photography, painting, and the culinary arts.
Sean Ogami: Tech Editor

Sean Ogami, a San Francisco resident since birth, discovered an interest in writing around the 7th grade, and has followed it ever since. He quickly realized he preferred greatly expository writing to creative, because creative writing is icky. He is a rising sophomore at Lick-Wilmerding High School, where he hopes to join the school paper. He is mildly afraid of dogs, spends too much time on the internet, and has never set foot in Nevada.
Ashlyn Stewart: Editor-in-Chief

Ashlyn has grown up in the small town of Salida, Colo., situated at 7,000 feet in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. She leads many school clubs, but spends most of her time on the Tenderfoot Times, the school newspaper. She served as Editor-in-Chief her junior year, and will this fall. She also reports for the Mountain Mail, Salida's local newspaper. When not writing, Stewart can be found riding her bike, reading, or hanging out with friends.

Alyssa Vandenberg grew up in Sunnyvale, Calif. to a loving family who fostered her love of reading and writing. A senior at St. Francis High School, Alyssa is an active member of the speech team, a staff writer and editor on her school’s newspaper, and a reading tutor for third graders. After graduating, Alyssa plans to major in English. Her goals include becoming a high school English teacher and writing a teen fiction novel. In her free time, Alyssa loves hanging out with friends, going to concerts, watching chick flicks, and reading Harry Potter.
Ann Xu: Business Editor

Ann, 16, was raised in San Jose and attends Lynbrook High School. In her free time, she likes to read, study Japanese and practice colorguard. Her favorite author is Haruki Murakami, who shares her love of cats. Additionally, he writes weird things, and she likes weird things, so it all works out. Ann has a large collection of frog-themed items, views fashion as an art form, and excels in embarrassing herself in front of prominent figures. She hopes to meet her idol, Nellie Veitenheimer, one day.
